In which mining process is Servingsa focused?

Servingsa is a Peruvian company established in 1990 that excels in mineral processing, focusing on operations such as concentrator plants and related processes in the mining industry. The concentrator plant receives rock and subjects it to a sequence of processes, including crushing, classification, grinding, flotation, thickening, and filtering to produce mineral concentrates and tailings. Additionally, we participate in related processes such as cyanidation and leaching.

Over time, we expanded our network of partnerships to include European and Australian manufacturers, and in the last 15 years, we have established successful collaborations with Asian manufacturers.

What has Servingsa incorporated to improve its clients' processes?

We have incorporated innovative tools to optimize our clients' processes, adapting to the digital era and emerging trends. Although the transition to digitalization has been relatively smooth due to the focus on operations, we have faced persistent challenges due to supply chain disruptions. However, Servingsa has continued to evolve over time, from its beginnings in maintenance and repair services to the current implementation of advanced solutions, such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, to meet the demands of an ever-changing market.

Why is it essential for Servingsa to incorporate a metallurgical laboratory and software into its operations?

At Servingsa, we have taken a significant step by implementing a metallurgical laboratory and acquiring specialized software that allows our engineers with extensive experience to simulate, select, and optimize specific technical solutions, ensuring a favorable cost-benefit ratio that meets our clients' needs. This evolution from a commercial company to one that understands and applies technical knowledge reflects a commitment and a good understanding of the mining business and ensuring complete customer satisfaction.

How does Servingsa compete in a segment where various international companies thrive?

We compete with international companies in the sector, especially in medium and large-scale greenfield and brownfield projects, where these companies install and operate equipment. However, clients seek alternatives when they do not achieve the expected results. Servingsa remains alert and in direct contact with clients, taking advantage of in-person visits, chambers of commerce, and international fairs to identify needs and propose solutions, whether to improve or change systems or components. When we participate in plant improvements in operation, this builds client confidence, and we demonstrate optimal results for customer satisfaction.

As a result, we have focused our efforts on know-how, standing out in medium and large mining for our competitiveness, speed, and efficiency. This specialization gives us a distinctive advantage in this market segment, offering clients more agile and practical solutions.

Could you tell us how long you have been working with Southern Peru?

Servingsa has successfully improved technical solutions in Southern Peru, specifically at Toquepala, for over two decades. Twenty-five years ago, we began studies to improve solid-liquid separation in thickeners. At that time, this equipment operated with mechanical controls, which Servingsa upgraded to modern hydraulic control systems, fully automated and equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation.

What equipment have you introduced to help mining operators maximize mineral recovery?

For mining operators, maximizing the recovery of mineral in tailings or areas with improvement potential is crucial. Servingsa has imported specialized equipment to conduct tests and determine the presence of minerals in tailings, aiming to process them and recover their value. Additionally, we plan to implement classification equipment before tailings disposal, thus optimizing the separation process. We have also introduced pneumatic flotation cells for coarse particles, offering advanced technological solutions to improve mineral recovery efficiency.

We are focusing part of our efforts on the tailings disposal area, actively participating in innovative solutions for this process. While filter presses are commonly used high-cost equipment, Servingsa has imported dewatering screens that function as a more economical and efficient alternative. These dewatering screens reduce the concentrate's moisture and facilitate the disposal of tailings, offering an integral and cost-effective solution for mining operations.

In which other countries do you want to expand?

Servingsa has sought to expand beyond Chile for over a decade, initially exploring opportunities in Bolivia and then intensifying efforts in the last five years in countries like Ecuador and Colombia. Currently, we are involved in several projects in Ecuador, supplying equipment and spare parts for concentrator plants. Our next expansion goal includes entering the markets of Chile and Brazil, marking a strategic step in regional growth.
